Dental Crowns Noblesville
A broken tooth can be both painful and pose a risk to the rest of your mouth. A damaged tooth can become infected and may put stress on surrounding teeth because of the inability to chew with it. Crowns are built around the remaining healthy tooth structure to improve the function of the area. The crown both strengthens the tooth and improves the appearance of your smile!
Chipped or cracked teeth as well as teeth that have large dental fillings are all candidates for dental crowns. Your dentist will take impressions of your teeth to ensure a perfect fit for a durable and effective treatment.

BOOK AN APPOINTMENTAdditional Information About Dental Crowns in Noblesville?
Dental crowns provide an excellent solution for restoring damaged or weakened teeth. Our practice offers high-quality dental crowns to help you achieve a healthier, more attractive smile. If you have a tooth that is cracked, decayed, or has undergone a root canal, a dental crown can offer the protection and aesthetic enhancement you need.
What is a Dental Crown?
A dental crown, also known as a dental cap, is a custom-made restoration that covers the entire visible portion of a tooth. It is designed to restore the tooth’s shape, size, strength, and appearance. Dental crowns are commonly used to protect a weak tooth, restore a broken tooth, cover a dental implant, or enhance the appearance of a discolored or misshapen tooth.
Dental Crown Procedure
The dental crown procedure at our practice in Noblesville typically involves the following steps:
- Consultation and Examination: During your initial visit, we will examine your tooth and take X-rays to determine if a dental crown is the best solution.
- Tooth Preparation: The damaged tooth is shaped to make room for the crown. This may involve removing a portion of the tooth or building it up if there is extensive decay.
- Impressions: We take impressions of your prepared tooth and the surrounding teeth to create a precise mold for your custom crown.
- Temporary Crown: A temporary crown is placed to protect your tooth while the permanent crown is being fabricated.
- Permanent Crown Placement: Once your custom crown is ready, we will remove the temporary crown and securely bond the permanent crown to your tooth.
Benefits of Dental Crowns
- Restores Tooth Function: Dental crowns restore the functionality of a damaged tooth, allowing you to chew and speak properly.
